About the Bell Choir

In 1992 thanks to a gift from the Lila Ortlieb Estate Ebenezer had enough money to buy 3 octaves of Malmark bells.  They have since raised money to buy a 4th octave and a 3 octave set of chimes.

The founder and conductor of Ebenezer Brass was Jeris Waldvogel.  Practice began in January of 1992, and by 1996 they went on their first overseas trip playing concerts in southwest England.  Since that first trip the Bell Choir has played concerts in Germany, Switzerland, France, Scotland, France and Canada.

When at home the Bell Choir not only add music to Ebenezer's worship time, they also play at other churches, nursing homes and have even played on local TV.

The Bell Choir commissioned a piece of music in memory of Jeris Waldvogel.  The bell choir under the direction of Elaine Hessil, played the music at Ebenezer recently with a fellowship time afterwards when all past and present ringers got together.

If you would like to know more about the bells or if you would like to learn to play bells contact Elaine at 920-849-4369.
